Joel and Julie Moledor
Welcome to our story! We are glad you're here and excited to share this journey with you!
Arrows Ridge Homeschool Resource Center was founded as a nonprofit organization in 2025, by the Moledor family after months of prayer and preparation. After 14 years of homeschooling their own children and also serving in homeschool leadership, Joel and Julie Moledor felt called to pursue their dream of opening a homeschool resource center - a full-time facility dedicated entirely to supporting homeschool families and the local community.
Their vision for Arrows Ridge is to provide steady support, encouragement, and practical help to homeschool families throughout Northeast Ohio—equipping parents to feel confident and inspired in their calling to educate their children at home. We give all glory to our Savior, Jesus Christ, as we marvel at the amazing miracles He has performed and the doors He has opened to bring about the realization of Julie's longtime dream.
Our Story
Joel grew up in the Akron area and followed his dream of becoming a police officer at the age of 21. He now serves as a detective for the City of Cuyahoga Falls, where he is passionate about encouraging young men to live with integrity, strength, and courage in all they do.
Julie grew up in the Green area but moved to Africa with her missionary parents when she was nine years old. She and Joel first met in junior high at a church youth group event while her family was home on furlough from Africa and became pen pals for many years before eventually getting married. They have four sons who are all currently homeschooled. Julie graduated from Malone University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and has a deep love for teaching and training up children in the Lord. Her greatest passion is to aim hearts and minds toward Christ. Julie will serve as the Executive Director of Arrows Ridge and Joel is on the Board of Directors.
A little secret… Julie had long referred to her own homeschool program with her children as “Arrows Academy.” So when the time came to officially establish the center, her sons decided that “Arrows Ridge” was the perfect name—honoring their family’s tradition and also retaining “Arrows Academy,” which now lives on as the name of the program providing class options at the upcoming resource center.
